The following is information from last year so I dont know if there has been an increase but it will give you a rough idea:
Electricity prices are at a fixed price of 0.13YTL per KW/H on ordinary meters.
On digital meters there are 3 rates according to time.
Electricity 7am - 5pm kw/h 0.14YTL
Electricity 5pm - 10pm kw/h 0.22YTL
Electricity 10pm - 7am kw/h 0.08YTL
Exclusive of V.A.T (or Turkish KDV)
Also I bought a resale villa in July 2005 and paid approx 30 lira up until Sept. I didnt get another bill until July 2006 as they didnt come out and read the meter all winter. The bill was approx 400 lira which I didnt think was too bad as I had electric fires on all last winter.
If you take the number from the electricity box for your apartment and take it to the Electricity office, they will be able to tell you how much is owing.
