Yes, I agree. Generally, whichever bone is broken, you are told that it is six weeks before it is properly healed.

Hubby's broken little finger took six weeks and your bone is so much bigger and important.

How on earth did you manage to do this? Did you have a fall? Far be it from me (glass houses and all that) to comment on how one must be careful when in advanced years, this is a nasty thing to have happened.

Incidentally, there is very little to see of your under crackers in the photo!
