Re: Business closures in Side.

[QUOTE=Freedom 49;1226504]From as midnight of last night, all restaurants in and around Side have had to close due to the spreading Coronavirus.
47 people in Turkey now shown positive to the test.

My heart goes out to all owners of restaurants, bars, Turkish tea houses, discos, dancehalls etc that have to serve this ban.
Some of them have only just reopened after making refurbishments throughout recent weeks, others have newly opened having taken credit from their banks and in most cases, there's no 2nd income to go into their household during the closure as most of their wives don't work outside of the home.

Add to that the massive ammount of people that return each year to work the season here, we'll be finding a lot of families that could start to struggle as time goes on.

We'll see how things pan out. Restaurants are able to maintain their 'Packet Delivery Service' as yet.

Our regular Wednesday Quiz-Night at The Flying Horse is off until further notice. I just spoke to Enver, the owner and he's really worried. He works his restaurant 12 months of the year, every year. The Jandarma were around several times last evening, he closed at midnight as instructed but has no idea as to how long they must remain closed
