This week there have been quite a few dogs killed by poison. It is certainly some sick individuals doing this. I know for a fact that the belediye and the zabita are not responsible. They are aware of what is happening and are trying to find who is responsible. There are heavy fines for this kind of thing. Most worringly, the poison thats being put down is very strong and can be deadly to children and can cause blindness and worse. Today I have been picking up dead cats and birds, including blue jays, kestrels and other species. The zabita have asked to be advised of areas where animals have died so that they can investigate and de-contaminate.
