you need the sling box connected to the internet in the uk normally via a router the provider must have a good upload speed 500k or better. one model has a freeview tuner built in but i use a cable box for my signal source as the quilaty is better and you need a pretty reliable download speed the faster the speed both ways the better the quality adsl is not that good here the speed is up and down like a yoyo
