Sorry, No deserved in football, I have watched many a game where the best side have done all the right things for 85 minutes out of 90 and then been beaten, thats how it goes.

It is quite simply a game where those who score the most win - not a game of merit based on possession, ability, control or whatever.

Deserved is not a word I use, because that is subjective. In my opinion I deserve to get 6 numbers on the lottery on a week when nobody else does - guess what it hasn't happened so far so I keep going ! Same applies in football.

If we are all going to be honest, a very gutsy team of Turks with limited ability performed far better than most people expected and went further than anticipated, along the way they received acclaim for their 'never say die attitude' from many, myself included but I would not have bet my kid's inheritance on them winning this tournament and at the end of the day it is all about winning in this glorious game because nobody remembers the runners up ! And, just for good measure if we had an England team capable of even getting into the tournament we would not have given a sh** about the Turks if we are going to be honest.

Good entertainment but no divine rights.
