I would be happy with 2 years and this is what I meant that most people using a system would have had it installed within only the last few years. Not many people would be able to say they had it done say 5-10 years ago because there just wasn't anything available at that time.

Also a point to note is that not all houses are damp, for example Dalyan has a very high water table and a lot of people suffer from damp because the foundations are so wet and suck up so much. Yet our 12 year old house there doesn't have a single bit of damp inside and outside its only in a couple of spots around the terrace, I don't know why we have no problems, maybe drainage, maybe luck...I'm just happy with it.
