Hello, my name is Chris (female) short for Christine. I would like to introduce myself as it is only polite and to say I look forward to some interesting discussion and to learn and listen to some sensible ideas from this forum. I have been living in Fethiye now for some 10 years and still continue to enjoy my life. Everyday there is something new to learn and experience.

I live a quiet life here in a village house which I rent in Ciftlik. I liken it to a commune in a way as my Ev Sahibi and his grown up family each have a house and I am encouraged to share all that they have i.e. the water, garden, communal yard and of course any food which they grow. It does have its downside sometimes when they want to know where I am going and where I have been which at first I found annoying but now know that they are only looking out for my welfare and safety as opposed to being nosey.

Having done some travelling in and around Turkey in the past, I must say that there is no better feeling to see the panarama below my feet of Fethiye when I have returned from a trip. I even get goosebumps when bringing in holiday makers from the airport and introducing them to Fethiye in my role as a holiday rep, which I do in the summer season and hopefully they find my wittering on about Fethiye and its environs (and even some meaningless statistics) interesting albeit quickly forgotten as they are eager to hit the bars and beaches of Olu Deniz!!

Anyway enough about me - just to say that I look forward to using the forum and making new friends
