A note re UK-based companies insuring in Turkey - their "local" offices are not always local so if you WERE unfortunate enough to make a claim, you might be dealing with an agent who doesn't have an office within several hundred miles of your home!
This isn't a criticism of Intasure by the way, just an observation. An additional observation: if your home is damaged by an earthquake, you presumably won't be the only customers affected in your area so they will probably get someone down on site to you! On the other hand if your house is burgled, you might find it more convenient to deal with someone who can get round and help you within an hour not a day.
