My name's Sue (yes, another one!) Just thought it was about time I introduced myself. I've been lurking here ever since I came back from Turkey in October last year and fell in love with the country and its people.

I had such a wonderful holiday that I decided almost immediately to book another holiday and go back - and have been to Turkey twice this year (so far!). In fact I'm considering taking some time out of my career to move out next year so will be keen to hear from people who've taken this daunting step already, and to hear the negatives and plus points.

I've mainly been around the Bodrum peninsula (Yalikavak) but have also been on a gulet a couple of times - the last one we sailed around the Marmaris/Fethiye area. I love being on the boats. Hope to go again in September.

I've found this forum extremely informative especially about Yalikavak (there doesn't seem to be much information out there on this lovely village which, I gather, is growing by the year). Went to a number of restaurants while I was out there end of June/beg July including Dede's and Morgul Antik (Sue, forgive me for being so informal! - we had a lovely meal in your restaurant and were told you were back in the UK - we wandered passed many times afterwards and spotted you once, we couldn't stop but we did say hello and waved!)

Anyway, I've rattled on enough. Hello again and I hope to join in more....
