Re: Winters in Antalya

Hi Rainbow. Just read your post re University Hospital Antalya. I took a Pal there this week for a number of tests.Previously a private hospital in Antalya had quoted 1200YTL for these tests. This is what happened at Univercity.Price for same tests was 400 YTL and when he showed his residents permit it dropped to 207 YTL.Just a bit of a difference I think. The other thing that happened was that the hospital phoned SSK and asked if Brits could get free treatment. The answer was no but rather surprisingly they also said that there is an agreement with Britain whereby you send your Bill to DHSS who will refund the cash spent. Now we don't know where to claim but maybe some member living in the UK could find out as it could benefit us all.Lastly for anybody having to have treatment at University there is an Australian girl called Nancy who works in H Blok and is stuated in an office just behind the information desk. She also speaks fluent Turkish ! Wonderful.
