Holding an officership on a committee purporting to represent people who are in dispute with a service provider whilst having a close personal relationship with the service provider is not quite the same as "working with" your partner. Wouldn't ethics prompt you to step down from the committe in these circumstances?
I feel for the people who have parted with their money only to be caught up in what seems to be a nightmare.
