You have a hell of a list there with some of the questions more relevant to other forums in this site.

Anyway for what its worth, the water in Uzumlu is perfectly ok for drinking etc, petrol is more expensive in Turkey than UK. I have a house in Uzumlu and have a pool. As I am not there permanently I have a "pool man", costs £60 a month plus around £70 a season for chemicals.

General day to day food is cheaper than UK though meat can be expensive. Your council tax should be around 1/10th what you are paying in UK.

As regards Uzumlu itself the property prices there have not plummeted as a resuly of the cement factory indeed its one place in the Fethiye area which has held its prices well in the current economic climate. Uzumlu is a beautiful place and I can thoroughly recommend it
