Martyn when we go we always take chocolate, sweets, biscuits (Scottish shortbread) and sometimes cake. Our Turkish friends love the different types of sweet things we take and I'm sure they would be really disappointed if we stopped taking them. We always take a bottle of whiskey with us as one of our friends loves it[
] but I don't know if whiskey is a good idea to give to someone if you don't know them.
