For once TTNET have come up trumps,since going onto the 48tl unlimited package to stream tv i've been getting a lot of picture freezing when going thro' my VPN to stream live tv,not too many problems with 'filmon hdi' as that runs 4 minutes behind live transmisson time.I've spent many tl to a computor shop to 'clean' my laptop etc,all to no avail,then i checked my download speed & found i was only getting .8 of a mb,this clearly is not enough to stream tv as most sites require a minimum of 1 mb.
So of i go to the Turk Telekom/TTNET shop opposite the oasis shopping centre with a turkish friend(VERY important as no one in this office speaks english),he explained my problem & as i already knew,on a 1 mb package .8 mb was the best to expect,but they then offered me 8 mb for just 1 tl more!!!.The switch over was done there & then & when i got home i checked my download speed & now i'm getting 7.5 mb day & night,busy & quiet times of the day.
Now watching all the english freeview channels via tvcatchup with very little freezing (3 second freeze every 30 mins instead of 12 sec. freeze every 35 secs).Any small problems now seem to be with my paid VPN which seems to only put out 1.6 mb sometimes & 4.5 mb at others !?!. The new speed has also cured freezing on all my vids. thro' youtube etc.
So if anyone else is suffering the dreaded screen freeze on streaming & videos,go into your search engine(google/bing etc) enter internet speed test,pick any site & just see what speed you are getting for your money.It is a well known fact that you NEVER get the full speed you pay for,so you always need a package that offers a speed which is more than you realistically need.
The fact that you can buy 7 mb more for only 1tl per month more doesn't seem to be well advertised,or if it is it's all in turkish,which of course most of us cannot understand.

up to 8mb unlimited usage 49tl ----------
