Aluminium foil sold in the retail outlets is a joke in Turkey. For all our roasts we use the catering foil from Tespo. Much better. Also the gravy sold in Tespo is very good quality and can easily compare with Bisto which is available from some outlets specialising in english produce but its prohibitively expensive.
Although you can buy Turkeys live from the market, having done so before and lost it after it ran away
for the past couple of years I have paid a little extra and ordered from Banvit. Most of the butchers who sell chicken also have an account with Banvit and they deliver to most areas. Superb quality and highly recommended.
