I know what you mean.
My two are pampered and I am not sure how they would be in the kennels,
We are lucky enough to have dog sitters who stay at our house when we go away so our spoilt pooches have a routine and their soft beds. God, don't they rule your life?
Maybe you could find someone to do this? Or let your in laws do the basics and ask someone to come over and do the love bit.......Where do you live?
