With rough distances in km's there is also the mountain rout but to be avoided unless you are familiar with it, petrol station about two miles outside the airport as you head towards milas.

0....................... On leaving airport, head towards Izmir/milas, NOT Bodrum.
14.5................... On reaching Milas, turn left signposted Izmir
43.0................... Enter tunnel, use dipped headlights
51.5................... Lake Bafa comes into view
67.1................... As you reach the Dogus Yol cement works on the RH side of road, turn left signposted Akbuk.
