ridiculous charges for builders electric

hi folks
the builders of our site are demanding £50 per week for supplying electric !! the project should have been completed in april 2010 but now will not be done until 2012. would anyone please suggest a fair rate or let me know what they are paying as we need to confront them about this.

regards

ged

Re: ridiculous charges for builders electric

You pay by the amount used not by the week. There is no doubt he is ripping you off!

I am not kidding when I say this....I would go holiday elsewhere until 2012.

I done a quick approx calculation based on approx 15 weeks usage and less than £7 per week. 3 bed/2 x air con units/wash machine

Added....
Is this £50 per week only when you are staying there or for 52 weeks of the year regardless, not that it changes anything.

Ask the builder to supply you with a meter and pay for what you use. Even on builders rate it will be no where near what they are asking.

Re: ridiculous charges for builders electric

Yes an absolute rip-off, a builders fair rate would be around .23kurush per unit used.

Re: ridiculous charges for builders electric

you say the builders for your site..do you mean this is the charge for the combined buildings or yours alone...if its just yours tthats too much..if its a shared bill thats a different story

Re: ridiculous charges for builders electric

Yes, this is being requested from everyone that wants to use
thier apartment, and will go on until the complex is complete
and we can then get the habitation cert and be able to get our
own meters.
