Re: Where exactly is Akbuk

Akbuk neighbours Altinkum. From Kusadasi it takes just over an hour.

We did the drive from Altinkum to Kusadasi and thats all it took us. It's a straight forward drive and enjoyable. Lovely scenery.

yep, just over the hour and very pleasant and very straightforward. we made that journey a number of times back in June. You go through Soke so you may want to have a quick stop to look at the fashion superstores on the main road.

Re: Where exactly is Akbuk

Just a word of caution.

Road resurfacing is currently underway for about 20km. From Kusadasi as you go through Soke, just around the retail park area and for another 20km the road surface is a total nightmare. Not so much the flow of traffic but the loose chippings on the road. I can imagine there must be loads of business there for new windscreens! - the coaches totally ignore the reduced road speed restrictions and it makes driving through these roadworks hazardous especially at night.

From what progress I have seen it seems likely that these roadworks will continue at least for the next couple of months.
