Re: Commercialism on its way for Akbuk....
Its not for housing Christine. Hotel project or tourism based entity.
I guess its nice if you like that sort of expansion in the area and it will appeal to some and upset others. I didnt post it as an advert but thought the size of the sale warrants news to potential buyers and existing homeowners alike.

Re: Commercialism on its way for Akbuk....
Come on merv you cant just leave it at that, you could at least tell us where it is in relation to Akbuk, I cant imagine any area with 6,000 metres in Akbuk. Thats 6km which is about the whole of the sea front from Kumtent to the fishfarm. It must be further around the coast towards Bozbuk.
Yours in anticipation
Marc

Re: Commercialism on its way for Akbuk....
In the summer we were told by "a local in the know", that a large hotel chain were thinking of building in Akbuk, but it was round the headland towards Bozbuk. I do hope it's that far away.
I do hope they try to keep Akbuk as it is, it seems to me that it's all too easy to ruin really beautiful places, I know it happens everywhere, let's hope Akbuk is the exception!
Can't wait to find out exactly what this is about - please keep us informed!!
(I'm a Secretary - it's hard to get past me too!!)

Re: Commercialism on its way for Akbuk....
This is an enourmous size Merv. The size of whole Akbuk Bay is nearly 8km, so imagine a rectangular size comprising 80% of the entire length of Akbuk Bay (i.e 6km) with a width of 800+ meters, and there you have 5 million sq meters.
An area of this size would engulf the vast majority of all Akbuk homeowners.
How many golf courses would fit into an area of these size .. Probably 2 full size courses?

Re: Commercialism on its way for Akbuk....
I think it is fair to say that this is not going to be anywhere near Akbuk (town center). It is impossible as there are no major spaces anywhere near that much. I beleive the largest amount of land still available to purchase in Akbuk itself is 55,000 sqm.
So we can rule Akbuk bay out the only place it can be is towards Bozbuk

I reckon the only place it could be is near the label Kaplan Dagi
