Moving to Akbuk

Hi. I have been thinking of relocating to my apartment in Akbuk next year and renting out my UK property so I have been putting together a spreadsheet of likely fixed expenses in Akbuk so that can compare it to UK. I can then make an informed decision. Could residents please give me an idea /ball park figure of annual cost to them for electric and water, internet dongle . I have a two bed apartment and will more than likely be on my own. Also I will need medical cover as am type one diabetic mid fifties.
Regards
Ged

Re: Moving to Akbuk

Hi Ged, we live in Akbuk. Our rent is 450 tl pm, site fee's and insurance is paid by the owner,we spend about 100 tl pm on builders water and electric, phone 22 tl pm and when the offer on the iternet finishes it will be 55 tl pm, and now it is the nights are drawing in and the days are cooler we are not going out as much on boat trip's or trip's to Kusadsai and neighbouring towns, we dont seem to be spending much at all... we have UK tv which is a one off payment per year about 350 tl. We also run a scooter, certainly no more than 50 tl pm on petrol. Personally, I think the quality of life here far out ways that of the one in the UK, I really hated the dark winter day's. Even though it is dark here now at 5.30 pm ish, at least we have had a full day of sunshine and blue skies, (more or less) even though the temperature's have dropped. We certainly don't have any intentions of returning to the UK any time soon. Good luck. xx
