Re: face time

Yes you can
Ask in any bar or restaurant for wi-fi, we used it all the time in Turkey.
Our daughter was also able to face time us from Australia

Re: face time

Isn't techno just great, Skype, IPods, IPads, Tablets, IPhones, Smartfones, IPlayers, Netbooks, Laptops, Notebooks, the list is endless nowadays. Can you remember your very first Mobile Phone, THE BRICK (there's one, lol), crikey it weighed heavier than me, with this huge aerial on the top of the BRICK. Oh the good old days.

Re: face time

my older sister although in her working life typed everyday will not send emails--only in an emergency--she much prefers to write letters.

Re: face time

While I agree that sending/receiving a letter is better. I also think of all the times I sent mail to be told it had not arrived, and the rising costs over my lifetime.
How much nicer to be able to be thinking of a friend or family member and contact them within minutes.
Hats off to the older generation who have grasped this - I had a lovely email from my godfather yesterday and he is nearly 80!!!

This is probably the one time of year (Christmas) when the paper version in the form of cards with a personal note- will outnumber the electronic mail - but for how much longer?

Merry Christmas
