Buying a house in Akbuk
Hello everyone
I am looking at properties in the Akbuk area. Can anyone tell me why there are many unfinished properties for sale. Are they good value? Have they been built with the relevant permission etc. It is very difficult to get some estate agents to give you enough facts when making enquiries. Any local knowledge would be appreciated. The area looks lovely. Thank you

Re: Buying a house in Akbuk
There are not that many unfinished properties left in Akbuk, a lot have now been sold and being completed, there are couple of sites that are unfinished and will probably stay that way as they have legal problems.
You will sometimes find the odd unfinished property where the owner has run out of funds or have had enough, I would be careful of these as they can be a DIY project and quality of structure can be questionable.
If you are interested in a cheap project, best to look for a shell, this is where a site may have started with the concrete shell erected and then sold off like that to finish off as required, to finish off these properties the costs can be around £15,000
We had some of these for around £18,000 but will need to check the current price and availability.

Re: Buying a house in Akbuk
Hi musicman and welcome to the forum. We have a place in Akbuk and I can't rave enough about the place so you are making a good decision buying there. The agent that we bought from deals mostly with Akbuk so if you don't find anything let me know and I will give you her number. I must also point out that a good agent will make sure that it has the proper legal paperwork in place so you are not left with a property that was illegally built in the first place.

Hi musicman. Welcome to TLF!
I live in the region of Didim-Akbük and doing Handyman works with my team. That why i have the possibility to see properties around( finished, under construction etc).
If you could tell what you really are looking for then i can inform you more.
Enjoy TLF
