Re: Garden furniture

Here we go again Kev Food is crap and you didnt give your opinion on good eateries even after 3 requests now its plastic thats crap,we know you are very wealthy you have intimated that in the past, wanting to buy up apts etc, just maybe stewy wants some furniture to use for his fornight hols or maybe thats all he can afford maybe ask what and how it will be used before giving such statements.many people find crap plastic ideal for their requirements.anyway teak can start looking shabby very quickly and harbour nasty bugs as the wood expands/contracts

Re: Garden furniture

I really dislike going into a restaurant and seeing garden furniture. Jackie and self will not use such places. If they do not care about the set up of the place then we believe it is likely that they will not care about the food , service and hygeine.

But we do not apply this maxim on the beach etc.

Re: Garden furniture

Stewy, unsure as to the shops in Akbuk, have only visited a few times but I know if you make the journey over to Altinkum you will have an abundance of places to view and buy. Golden rule however - negotiate, there are some lovely choices and costs.
In addition to white plastic there are also some lovely colours, green, orange etc.
The wooden option is lovely but does need some extra care and not be left out in the elements over winter etc. For holidays and chill time the plastic suits many.
Enjoy your shopping for your leisure time, I loved it.
PS. No problem to most with delivery to where you are.

Re: Garden furniture

Try Bellona in the main road. They have some nice bits and pieces. Saw some nice plastic stuff there. It looks like the old style Lloyd Loom furniture but seems to made of 'woven' panles of wire coated with plastic so should last for a long time. Will clean easily with a garden hose. All of our solid plastic white garden chairs have now cracked and broken. They seem to become brittle in the sun, so won't be buying them again.

Re: Garden furniture

Not sure what you are looking for, but one of our members (Barbles) is selling patio furniture - how about a PM to them.
It will certainly be good condition

Re: Garden furniture

Stewy,
I would go with Albav's suggestion. The plastic woven types a brilliant. They look good and last a very long time. I have a set of these in Ireland on the deck. I never take them in during winter, and believe me, Irish winter-and summers!- are harsh. All I ever have to do is give them a hose-down from time to time.
Sorry I have no idea of the cost of these in Altinkum/Didim, but I would imagine they would be much cheaper in other places, like Izmir.

Mary.
