Naming and shaming property fraud.

Hello to everyone! It is high time someone should name and shame specific parties doing business in the Akbuk region, specifically so called "appointed lawyers" handling the purchase process of off-plan property. When we good hard working people intrust our account to be handled by the proposed appointed lawyer, we expect to be represented in full to the best of his or her ability, unbiast of any personal interest or profit, expecting them to do what they are intrusted to do. Ercan Gunduz an Istanbul based attorney and fluent in the English language, is not such an attorney. In good faith I intrusted him to represent me in the purchase of an off-plan apartment in the Emporium resort, sent him a huge amount of money and rested that all was well. At some stage the project was apparently cancelled due to the developers inability to come through with it and proposed an alternative much smaller complex in its place the Laguna Vista. Now you dont need to have studied 10 years as a lawyer to know that cancellation of a project automatically means dissolution or breach of the contract. Now this new project which was by no means anything like the original project, didn't interest me and this is where I wanted my intrusted lawyer to come through for me and protect my interests and get my money back in full. Instead of this happening, Ercan Gunduz, applied unprecidented pressure, trying to pull the wool over my eyes trying to get me to sign over to the new project, totally against my will, using every tactic in the book to get me to sign over. Once I got in contact with other buyers in similar situations and when confronted with the issue, Mr. Ercan in a desperate attempt to salvage his reputation suddenly flipped sides but with months of damage already done, heartache and loss of money. This nonsence needs to stop. Anyone wanting to get in contact for more information please write.

Re: Naming and shaming property fraud.

Even though l fully agree with you on this one, which by all means l would name and shame many on here for ruining my life. But, the problem with this is,those criminal minds pretending to be something there not will take this to court. And we all know the courts favour the criminal, because of the corruption involved in the legal system.
They take care of their own kind.Just speak to the victims on yasmin gardens in Akbuk and also the GBC in Altinkum

Re: Naming and shaming property fraud.

Hearing about the number of people having suffered property fraud in one for or another, I'd certainly not recommend purchasing in Turkey,

There are clearly, a number of honest emlaks & solicitors within this area, however. their reputation has been tarnished by the few dishonest ones.

Re: Naming and shaming property fraud.

I have been told that if people have problems they should write to this place [email protected] apparently this is sent to all the Turkish authorities who will check its contents and pick up on any illegal points. It might be worth writing to them clearly state what happened, by whom, where and when.

Good luck

Re: Naming and shaming property fraud.

Having "googled" his name, his website is sparce to say the least along with one mobile phone number.

I would without a doubt be contacting the Turkish Law Society for which ever area he operates from. I do know that the Law Society takes a very dim view of lawyer who misrepresnts people even more so if abuse of a POA is involved.....................................now I will stand back and let you all dive on me for that comment..........but how many of you have gone down that route?
