Smile Bought a house in Akbuk

Hello
Just want to say thanks to everyone on this site who has helped me and answered my endless questions over the last few months. I have found the people and help I have recieved on here fantastic. I got home from Turkey Monday after 15 days looking around. I stayed in Kusadasi and visited Altinkum and Akbuk on several days. Looked at many houses and finally found one at Akbuk on the Ozcelik site. Estate agent took us around many houses and put us up in hotel and took us out for lunch etc over several days. We were shown diff areas and sites before viewing houses which was good. When we saw Akbuk we felt relaxed and at home. I like quiet places that feel safe and relaxed. After looking at several properties around Akbuk we went to a lovely looking site called Ozcelik. Beautiful location and green with trees and wide roads and spacious and houses were spaced out too. Nice pool area and the whole place just felt right. So got a nice house on a nice site with fab sea views. Akbuk has a good selection of shops and sensible number of places to eat. Looking forward to going back and seeing it in the summer and looking forward to meeting fellow home owners in Akbuk. While I was there we saw the solar eclipse. It did not go totally dark, but it went darkish and I was amazed at how much the temp dropped.

Thanks Again everyone
Rach

You can get a nice semi detached villa for under £60,000. I saw quite a few in the £50,000 price band.

Hi Rachel,

Well done! you have made a great choice.
The peace and tranquility of Akbuk will do wonders for your wellbeing.

Make the best of it while you can!

Because in 10 years time it might be like Altinkum. Lets hope not.

I love Akbuk has it is.

When we were there last year, the sheep and chickens out numbered the tourists. LOL

Best Wishes for the future.
