And it is notarised.

Best if it is in Turkish as well as English.

Re: Emlak sale contract legal?

Should be notarised as Tommy says and the notary will need a translator present before he does it.

Not worth the paper it is written on unless notarised.

For legal reasons I cannot comment.

There are some honest lawyers in Turkey. There are also some no-so-honest ones.
If you are happy with the contract and it is notorised then go ahead.
Do you know your lawyer? Has he helped you out with any problems?
Some are excellent when everything goes smoothly.
Is he highly recommended?

-->: Re: Emlak sale contract legal?

you are wrong
if the contract singed by both parties it is legal and binding
terms and conditions are very important
franchised estate agents contract well prepared
if the client sell and doesn't pay they take them to court

The scenario could be this:

You sign a contract with an agent, then your property is sold privately or via another agent. The agent who you have the "contract" with comes chasing you for their cut & that is how it works in Turkey. Agents love you to have a contract with them because that property then has their "sole rights" on it.

I personally would not sign a contract with an agent, when I sold my villa all the agents tried that little number on me & I was having none of it.

No Emlak, Developer, Lawyer etc, is empowered to create a Legally Binding Document/Contract in Turkey (I learnt that the Hard way ). All documents you wish to Legalise (otherwise it's just a promise ) Must, be properly Notarised at a Notary office, preferably in English & Turkish, using a court approved Translator.
