More Wind Turbines For Akbuk.

In my opinion, the current wind turbines in Akbuk are already a blot on the landscape; and now there are plans for 10 more.
The powers that be will not be happy until they have spoiled the place with endless building....

Plans for new wind farm in Akbuk
PLANS are emerging for a new wind farm in the Akbuk region, local media has reported.

Aydin Provincial Assembly’s Energy, Natural Resources, Industry and Trade Commission said there were plans to build a new plant with ten wind turbines with the Akbuk region.

The commission said the news should be greeted positively as the wind farm on the hills above Yesiltepe and the one at Soke had proved to be efficient and effective.

The one at Yesiletepe actually falls under the auspices of Akyeniköy District and proved very useful, the Aydin Provincial Assembly on Energy, Natural Resources, Industry and Trade Commissioners said.

President of the Commission Abdurrahim Ozturk, members of the Commission, Jalal Çelen, Mustafa Celik, Ali Cevik and Provincial Councillor M. Didim Cahit Kaya had visited the wind farm as part of a fact-finding mission.

The commission said: “We were required to investigate whether to add to the current project at Akyeniköy.
“The commission looked at the proposals, toured the Akyeniköy wind energy plant which produces 102 million kw/h of electricity annually.

“As a continuation, we believe a second wind power plant in Akbuk with 10 turbines will suffice.”
Power plant construction permits have already been applied for.

No time-frame or indeed location has yet been given publicly for the proposed Akbuk wind farm.
