Anywhere to get a good massage in Akbuk or Altinkum?

Hi Everyone,

Long time since I've been on here (Nov last year to be precise) Anyway hope you're all good!!

Anyone know of a good and reputable place to get a massage, especially for a bad back; in the Akbuk or Didim area's?

There used to be an excellent one in Akbuk but I think the lady went back to Romania or wherever some while ago, so apart from the Hamam in Didim, is there anywhere else to go?

Many thanks, and hope to see some of you soon (we're there 12-June 1st July).

Jaimie

Re: Anywhere to get a good massage in Akbuk or Altinkum?

I was going to post yesterday but had thought someone else who knows more than myself would have suggested somewhere possibly better.

However the only two place/s I know are just past Ikbals, a short way along the prom on the left (heading towards the Tuntas hotel) up that very steep little side road that runs off the prom to Karakol Cd, which then links back to the bottom of Attaturk Blv.

There is a Hammam over on the right-hand side of the hill close to the Chinese restaurant (if it's still there) and also one at the bottom of the hill on the left-hand side which was the one I used.

As to whether it was any good is probably down to individual interpretation so may not be fair to say it was either crap or fantastic, but I enjoyed it and the cost was not very much.

Re: Anywhere to get a good massage in Akbuk or Altinkum?

There's an excellent sauna down Sok 1, which is the 1st on the right going up At Blvd from the shopping centre.

Had a minor back problem for years and, after a few massages, never had a problem since.

See map...

Here's a map showing above hamans, they are more or less opposite each other.

Ideal if you're in Yesilkent.

What do they charge as most hotels seem to be more expensive than elsewhere?
