Ramada noise

So much for the quiet life! Our place is imidiatly in front of the Ramada Hotel. Disco booming out til gone midnite last night Friday.

What was a nice peaceful place to stay and unwind, is not anymore, very disappointed, no consideration for residents at all. Far to much noise and traffic now. Day and night

Interesting ! We have noise problems ( bar noise on a complex) in Didim this year and I always was led to believe that there was quite strict rule enforcement regarding this issue. However apparently not .I was laughed at when I mentioned getting the Jandarma /Police involved (at 2am ). Does anyone know whether there are any environmental noise rules/legislation in place in Turkey and who does one contact if the perpetrators take no notice?

Re: Ramada noise

Music in bars/restaurants must be turned down at 12 midnight, to almost non existent levels. If you complain to the local police they should come and enforce the legislation.
Unless they've been given a backhander by the business owner. I would complain and see what happens.

Charlotte- what about condominium status sites? I know that Condo Law and Site Mnagement Plan should cover this but it can be very difficult to enforce. I know of Police being called but they apparently more or less shrugged their shoulders. We are moving off site purely because of this issue where fellow owners think it ok to keep others awake at 2am ! There probably is some legislation which covers this but enforcement is the issue .

I'm sorry, I don't live on a site so I have no real clue about condominium law etc. However, considering the fact that during the height of the Gezi protests, people (mostly old ladies and young mums) were fined for 'disturbing the peace' for banging pots and pans outside their windows at 9pm at night, I imagine there is legislation which can curb noise pollution, and I would take the advice of others who suggested contacting the Zabita.

Re: Ramada noise

Ramada update. The power was off this morning in Akbuk, Ramada generators kicked in not sure what time, but the noise was deafening at 05.30
Total disregard for others living close by. I think it's about time I had a word with them.

Re: Ramada noise

Hi
We are looking at buying an apartment which is close to the ramada and am now concerned about the noise levels. What's the latest update on noise and is it every night?

We liked the peace and quiet when we were out there in late May early June your honesty would be much appreciated

Thanks

Re: Ramada noise

Probably best to stay away from buying near any hotel, or buying on a complex, and resist the urge to buy anything near a plot of land, no matter how small, after watching Akbuk develop as fast as it has over the past year or two, even the tiniest plot seems to get built on. Sue xx

Ps Welcome to the forum, just noticed this is your first post.
