Just come back from a week in tinky/akbuk and they have just opened what I think is one of the nicest bars in the area, now before you all jump in , no I havent visited all of them but this place is situated on the Harbour of Akbuk over looking the Jetty/Marina and its style is sort of Castle like.

The Bar is open all day and in the night 11pm onwards turns into a Nightclub called "Jokers" i think. The Guy who is running the place used to organise all the entertainment in the Triton and lives there year round "Dave" his name is, he is a character!!

They opened last week and it is absolutely georgeous, top notch, I'll try and get some photos of the place. They are also laying on free busses from Gima each night (start date is to be confirmed) the beer is not cheap 3500 but most other places were charging me 3000 in tinky and this is a cut above the rest IMHO.

If your there for 2 weeks then I'd definitely recommend a trip over once.

Welcome back Marc, that bar sounds lovely, I think I have died and gone to heaven when I'm sat looking out to see having a g&t, honestly I absolutely love it I'm so easily pleased Just plonk me in a bar and hand me a drink and I'm happy as a sand boy

Honestly this is the exact view I had Sunday Night drinking outside (Ive cheeted by pinching Mushtaqs photo but It is the same view as he took it 100 yrds from the bar last year)

Looks really lovely, have only seen Akbuk in the day light but will add to our to do list this year. Hope the transport is up and running by the time we arrive, early June.

Akbuk sounds really nice.How far is it from Altinkum? We would like to go to new places. It is quite easy to get stuck in one place dont you think?

Akbuk is only about 20 mins by car from Altinkum, about 40 by Dolmus.

I was told that the Dolmus run every 30 minutes in winter and 10 minutes in the summer, I don't know how reliable my information is but I do tend to see them all the time when driving around the place.
