Sea and Dolphin World Alanya
Hi all,
just a quickie drove past the new seaworld and Dolphin park in Alanya the other day so on the way back out of Alanya I popped in to enquire about prices and pick up some info.
To watch just the Dolphin show it was 35ylt
To pay for a one day pass that gives you acces to the sea park wetsuit snorkel gear and allows you to swim with tropical fish in coral reefs, and also swim with the Rays (sting removed) see all shows inc Dolphin and sealions. It also includes Lunch this was 110ytl
To swim with the Dolphins I think this was about 190ytl
The park seemed very quite, has anyone been there and if so what do you think was it good value?
I have been to seaworld and Discovery cove in Florida and that was great love to hear how they compare with Alanya.

Re: Sea and Dolphin World Alanya
HI Bubba,
Can,t comment on the Alanya Park, but as a comparison we were in Kus on Friday and our son who is 13 swam with the dolphins at Adaland it was brilliant and cost 145ylt.We had a look at the seapark whilst we were there and that looked well worth a visit. We were told it was 40 euro including lunch. We will do this on our next visit. The photos taken of our son with the dolphin by the photographer are fantastic although they cost £8.00 each.A memorable experience for him and us.

Really glad to hear the park at Alanya is quiet, with any luck it may close.

Re: Sea and Dolphin World Alanya
How sad that in this allegedly " enlightened age" people will pay to be entertained by an animals suffering. Keeping endangered species may have some merit, but keeping mammals from their freedom in the oceans is criminal. My attitude may be offensive to some forum members, you are free to post your opinions. Unfortunately the animals / fish / birds are not.
Paddington Bear, good post, heartily concur.
Steve.

By what right do humans capture rays and remove their stings????????? I would think Steve Irwin would be spinning in his grave.

Re: Sea and Dolphin World Alanya
these places are watery circuses or zoos..and are very abusive to animals.
they are cruel and we are arrogant to think we have a right too do what we want with other living creatures.

Re: Sea and Dolphin World Alanya
Hi
Just got back from a fortnight in Avsallar and passed the Dolphin park quite a few times, the kids were asking to go but we put them off and I'm glad we did sounds like a very expensive day out, also I didnt think it look very big (how many dolphins I wonder are squashed into the pools or are they in the sea but cordened off to stop them escaping).
We did however go to the waterpark the other side of Avsallar and apart from it being very hot, had a great time, its quite large about 27 slides of different degrees of scaryness, swiming pool, wave pool, good catering facilites and plenty of sun loungers under the trees for a bit of shade, cost us about 125 lira for 3 adults and 1 child.
Another good afternoon out was at Dim Cay take your cossies and have a meal at one of the restaurants while the kids play in the water and waterslides.
Sorry to go off thread a bit but i know its good to know about these places before your go especially if you have kids and dont want to be dissapointed.
