Re: advice on mahmutlar
Mahmutlar is now a very popular place...its improved beyond recognition in the last 10 years. there are good restaurants and bars all over the place not only Turkish but Russian İndo-Chinese and others too.

Re: advice on mahmutlar
Mahmutlar is ok an up and coming resort .. but very quiet at this time of year.
It is full of apartments so there is mostly 2 months of the year it is busy.
There is
lots of resturants and irish bars. the beach is not as nice as the one in Alanya.
but the weather is the same
have a nice time

Re: advice on mahmutlar
Hi Jimbo
I started my apartment hunt in Mahmutlar early 07 ~ I was taken by the interior finishings on the Kurt Safir & Saray builds euro 7, v.i.p and oba resort. The weather was a tempter as I love winter sun and they definately have it milder during our cold spell! The heat in July however is ohmygod.hot. Quite international feel, nice food places, they were constructing the pavements and planting palms in the central reservations when I was last there. Bet its looking great now. Got bitten to death but maybe I wasn't prepared! Good transport around and about. The dual road between the buildings and the sea was busy ~ maybe more underpasses now?
However after travelling hundreds of miles ( many in a circular fashion) I ended up in Datca. Truely miles away with an all together different climate/look lol.
Anyway not sure this helps at all but it gave me a chance to relive my visits :0)
Good Luck!
