Where to buy a washing machine?

I need to buy a new washing machine but dont really know where to go so that I dont get over charged because Im a yabanci. Id like either a bosch or arcelik I think - to buy one of these do I need to go to the actual bosch or arcelik shop, or do they have these also in metro??
Can anyone recommend a good machine brand?
or a good shop?
How would I be expected to take it home if i bought it from Metro? would they deliver and fit it? I assumed not really.
Or would you all try to get someone turkish to go with you?

any advice gratefully (how do u spell that) accepted

Re: Where to buy a washing machine?

Usually if you buy from a super market they deliver then give you a number for the instillation.
I bought one a few weeks back from Kipa for 390tl, Indeset, a Bosch is going to set you back nearer 550-600tl and Acelik around 450-500tl

Re: Where to buy a washing machine?

Go to either a Beko or Arcelik shop and look for special offers. Don't use Metro or Kipa as their after sales service is not good. Once you have chosen the model you want they will delivery and fit for free. Both Arcelik and Beko have a standard price, but you can always negotiate it down. Make up your own mind what you are prepared to pay and try and negotiate down to that price.

Well I had a problem with the Indeset people so phoned Kipa to complain and they rang me back to say that he would be with me 2 hours later and he was, plus the guarantee is with Indest but it's but as easy as going into bosch or Beko direct.

Re: Where to buy a washing machine?

You must have a better Kipa than we have in Alanya! I haven't heard a good word about their after service and when a friend had a problem with an almost new washing machine bought from Metro she had to sort out her own call out repair.

Re: Where to buy a washing machine?

It's the same all over really I suppose, different attitudes in different shops, still can only speak as I find.

Re: Where to buy a washing machine?

Yes actually a few people have mentioned to me they've had problems with large items they've bought from Kipa in Alanya. We thought because its Tesco they'd have the same kind of returns/ faulty goods policy and when a friend complained to tesco head office in UK about the treatment they told her the policy was the same everywhere.

I don`t think you can beat going to proper Beko/arcelik shop, all our items are Beko.

Good service and delivery, you may pay a little more by going there, but its worth it.
