Re: renewing visas

Welcome to the Forum. Hopefully by June the residency visa conundrum will be resolved and the need for the 90 day renewal trip will be a thing of the past. Using the search facility will identify a number of threads on this subject.

Re: renewing visas

You have to go out of the country, most people do visa runs to greece, but things may change in May,if it happens you would have to get a residence visa (400 ponds ish per year)

Re: renewing visas

There is talk that the cost of a residency visa may come down in price, but like most sceptical until I see it in reality. It certainly won't come as cheap as Penny Meadow markwilshaw.

Re: renewing visas

Hi Carole and welcome to the Forum from another Alanya resident. It isn't an easy day trip from Alanya to Greek Islands to renew your 90 day Visa so the majority of people have a residents permit. You could go to Northern Cyprus on the ferry (which only runs in Summer) but there are only two trips a week, so your trip would have to be a minimum of three days. The other alternative is to return to UK every 90 days.

carolle and thanks for your help

thanks val, I think residency is the only way to go then, is it difficult to do because the 90 day thing is a pain in the bum.

Re: renewing visas

Hi
Residency is not difficult when you know what to do,first time for us was 2 days toget paperwork together, now i can do in 2 hrs, then 10 days left with customs.
Easy when you know how.
