Re: Alanya new forum.
 Hi everyone,
I just thought I would let you know that I have just booked a flight to Antalya for the beginning of May and the price was £134 each including all taxes etc, if it is of any help to anyone the company is called A1travel.com/1st-4travel.com. We came back last week after spening time with the builder and catching up with a bit of social life and I have booked the next trip. Cannot wait.

Margret
That is a good price but i think you can find cheaper on
www.flythomascook.com
Its an easy site to navigate and once you have put your dates on and it shows no results you just keep clicking next available date to show more results without haveing to start all over again. You are also able to book one way flights here and find then find a cheap return if you want to go back of course.

Re: Alanya flights great price
Margaret, lucky you. I have spent hours trawling through the net to try and get cheap flights to Antalya for the end of Feb for around 10-14 days. Unfortunately work commitmemts do not allow us to go mid-week. Thomascook only seen to go Tues. (By the way we live in Kent so will travel from Gatwick or Stansted.) I have spoken to a travel agent about a flight they had going to N.Cyprus. The flight stops at Antalya. Oh, she said, 'yes we do stop at Antalya, but you will not be able to get off there'!! So what are we suppose to do, sit on the plane and wait for it to fly back again. I think not. I am just about loosing the will to live as I do not want to pay hundreds of pounds for a flight that will reguire us to make 1 or to changes.

Re: Alanya flights great price
Turkish Cyprus fly from gatwick, Stansted and Manchester and they do a stop over at Antalya and I have always got off there. The only time was when the pilot made a economy decision and as only had one passenger did not stop. ( That was not me a friends daughter it happened to.)
We use Turkish cyprus a lot from here as one of the most economical schedule flights - but tryign to contact their London offices is a B****.Took me 3 solid hours of redialling last time... I will not be taking an open ticket again.
PS Just booked a friend out of here to Stansted on sunday back on 19th Feb and they told me they had seats left...

Re: Alanya flights great price
I have to agree with you we have used this flythomascook for most of our flights. We have found with them also if you can is check each Airport they list, it can pay to travel to another rather than Gatwick only which is normally the cheapest, this way you may not be restricted to certain travel days. Another airline is Excel Airways at www.excelairways.com.

Re: Alanya flights great price
Many thanks for the helpful replies. I have now managed to phone and speak to a human being (instead of a machine) at Cyprus Turkish Airlines. Flights booked, Feb26-March 09. While not the cheapest, the flying times are reasonable and fits in with our plans. Now I have the details from them going from Stansted, and it's a direct flight. It seems I need to be more organised and book more in advance as I was told the flight going out end of Feb is nearly fully booked. Mary

Re: Alanya flights great price
We have usually booked Thomas Cook flights, but need to travel on Friday 7th April and they only have flights for the Sun or Tues from Manchester. so we have booked a flight with Gold Trail. There website is www.holiday.co.uk. They sometimes have package holidays cheaper than flights. Another website to look on is www.takeofftravel.co.uk or justtheflight.co.uk.

Re: Alanya flights great price
If you are booking with flyThomas Cook in the near future (until the end of Feb I think) entering 'birthday' in the promotion code should get you £10 per passenger off. we flew with them a couple of weeks ago and were given a card with a lucky number on it. We had to enter the number in to the web site to try to win free seats. We didn't win the seats but were given the code to enter for future bookings. The same code was returned for several lucky numbers so it must be a standard promo code.

Re: Alanya flights great price
Me and my sis are flying to Izmir via Istanbul on the 19th Feb, for £236 with Turkish Airlines.... was the cheapest my miles and quickest.... We won't fly Lufthanzer any more (apart from the prices of course) everytime we have had such horrendous landings that my sis, who is a fairly seasoned traveller, has now become a very nervous flyer!!! Anyone else noticed that about their landings???
