Is there no end..................

to the constant finding of new ways to obtain foreigners money.
I found out yesterday that a new law introduced 2/3 months ago means that any foreigner wanting to do a transaction at the Notary, now need to have their passport translated and notarised.
This has never been needed in the many.many years of property and vehicle purchases etc, so why now they find the need if it is not about the money.

We bought a 2nd hand car while in Marmaris about 3 weeks ago,only showed,tax no. , RP and Kimlik no and our UK passports.We had a translated copy of passports with us but was not asked for it.
