What's like

Hi,
What's the weather like Alanya in the summer ? Hot, or extremely hot. Humid ?

Also I am looking into buying property there, which is the best area, centrally located or neighbouring places.

Thanks

Re: What's like

Most property now is 1+1 or 2+1 just looked at some yesterday. Asked the man starting at 100.000 euros all i said was tamam. You have to be care full Alanya now spreads a long way, because they have joined all the councils together .Mahmut'la is 20 klm but they still say it's alanya . So you need to come and see. We have had 51 deg in summer not always like that .70 /80 humidity .

Re: What's like

We have lived in Konakli now for 12 years which is now part of Alanya as Enoch says. It is 12klms from Alanya. It can get very humid in July and through August and hot. But the winters do not get really cold..... at least down on the coast line were we are. As to were to buy....well if you like living in the center of town it can get very noisy with traffic, but you are handy for shops. Bus fares are cheap, example Konakli to Alanya is 4liras... cheap and frequent. We like it better out of town. It all depends on what you prefer. Along the Eastern side of Alanya it has got very built up all the way to Mahmutler. were as on the western side (Konakli) it is far less built up.

The center is just because it's nearby everything, I mean you can go out at night for a walk or during the day to the market, but not sure what's like in Konakli, but there isn't much in Mahmutlar, we visited it quickly and couldn't find anything in special.

I looked at Tosmur neighborhood, they have nice apartments with pool for around 350.000 tl, not bad, but again I find it a bit farther, so I am not sure yet, I will eventually go and look myself, but I juest want to have an idea first and when doing my researsh I can select few properties in advance to view, in our last visit with stayed in Saray Mah, it was in April and the weather was warm. The question is how hot will it be in the summer, we went to Manavgat in August once and it was very hot, so is it the same more or less ?.

I really cannot read...especially if it makes sense to you and nobody else.

I think you have a problem with figures, read them again Micheal Fish would forgive you for that.

I know I should get with it ,but I cannot help but convert back to F from C .
So taking a guess 51c must be about 127F ??
