Re: Julien Assange dragged from the Ecuadorian Embassy

Many Assange defenders, do so, as they consider wikileaks as being of the political left..... Assange in the end was more akin to the views of the farther reaches of the American right. They have common enemies. They use antidemocratic ends, and benefit from undermining the same institutions.

They despise the same mainstream press as Trump. Their supporters hate the same people. They hate liberals, and liberalism they are in sympathy for the ideals of ultraconservatives like libertarian Ron Paul, and the Republican Liberty Caucus who are defenders of Wikileaks . Its no coincidence Wikileaks became hero's to Fox News and the American right in the Trump campaign.

Fox and the right had a real dilemma on the release of one of the most damaging pieces in the Trump campaign the "Hollywood tapes" of the infamous piece showing Trumps misogyny of " grab their p***ies " but it was Wikileaks Assange that gave the distraction needed with the timely release hundreds of Clinton hacked emails. The timing of the dumps was a lifeline and of maximum benefit for Trump and his supporters in distracting the press and giving the media of the right something to counter the bad Trump publicity from the tapes .

I believe he should be extradited to Sweden to face the charges there.or his native Australia to decide the fate of their citizen........ not America as it may become some sort of show trial and we don't want to discourage any future Whistle blowers .. whatever their ideology .

Wikileaks Assange that gave the distraction needed with the timely release hundreds of Clinton hacked emails.

If Clinton had been using a proper designate government secured server, there would've been no back door opening for WikiLeaks.

Who would be a whistle-blower this day & age? Seems whistle blowers come off second best, ask the investigative journalists involved in Luxileaks.

As a Trump defender where was you "lock em up " post for the Seven members of Trump's team who have used unofficial e-mail servers ... one being a Presidential White House adviser on ME foreign policy, son-in-law Jared Kushner or his use of Whatssap for White House Business which one cyber expert said was far more grievous

So are you a Clinton defender?
As said, if Clinton had used a government designated secure server, WikiLeaks wouldn't have gained access or have I got that wrong........

Before asking yet another diversionary Clinton question perhaps you should answer Camden's #43.

Just trying to help

Re: Julien Assange dragged from the Ecuadorian Embassy

Good riddance to bad rubbish. He's not a British citizen so send him back to his home country of Australia and they can deal with him. They have a robust and fair system of justice.
They should turn him over to Sweden and he should answer the rape accusations there before the Yanks get their hands on him. They can have their turn afterwards.
He's cost us a fortune over the last 7 years which could have done a lot more good elsewhere.

Re: Julien Assange dragged from the Ecuadorian Embassy

It’s only the last few years that people have woken up to the power of the internet & it’s nowhere near its peak yet. When it’s good it’s very good, when it’s bad....governments tumble.

Re: Julien Assange dragged from the Ecuadorian Embassy

@ shash I'd have more time for it if they could spell my mother's adjectival country correctly. Australien indeed!
Using 'smart-ass' snippy female presenters doesn't make it funny either. There's a subtle message here that the Swedish rape allegations are a minor or forgotten issue. Had it been a male presenter it would have been criticised as unacceptable. I'm surprised that those women were happy to go along with the script, but maybe they didn't think about that.

A government's first duty is to the security of its citizens. . . .
There is no such thing as an open and honest state anywhere in the world and it's naive to think it's possible, because when you are dealing with some of the worst dregs of 'humanity' and their sick ideals that attack your way of life, you have to deal with them as such. You wouldn't let rats run loose in your house and neither would you warn them that you will lay poison traps.
Much as you (and I) can applaud some of Assange's disclosures, he has been accused of rape and that should not be dismissed or allowed to fade away. The US should wait until that is sorted.
Send him back to his home country, Australia to deal with this.
Assange is NOT a British citizen. Send him home.
