Lo folks,

Just to let you know that we raised a grand total of 1,700ytl at the Open Day and it was really well supported by the council & the local community, god bless em! And the local business people were very generous with their dontated raffle prizes.

Also delighted to say that our good lady Mayoress, Serife Kamaci, is also due to become a member of WIT :-)

On a personal note, just to say a big thank you to Dave the Bus for sticking his hand in his pocket and giving me 100ytl toward the clinic.

Below are the details of the events till the end of 2008.

Monday 24th November: Kusadasi kicks off its first WIT meeting at Dejezars Wine bar - 4pm


Sat 29th November: Xmas shopping trip to Bornova Shopping Centre & Ikea in Izmir


Thur 4th December: Coffee morning, 11am - ROKA


Sat 6th December - Snow Ak and the Seven Mustafas - A WIT production. Venue: the Wedding Salon in Yenishar. Start time 7pm, tickets are only 5ytl and children under 12 are free. ALL PROCEEDS ARE GOING TOWARD THE MOBILE WELL WOMEN CLINIC.


Sat 13th December - WIT Christmas Do!! ROKA

Weds 17th December - Mammogram trip (TBC)

The Panto is our next fundraiser so please come along and support if you can. The mobile well womans clinic is for the benefit of the whole comminity, Turkish and English and it even benefits the men as after all, you all have mothers, wives, sisters, daughters etc..

Hi Kym so glad we were able to participate in such a good cause, and thanks for the up-dates on forthcoming events. Could you see if there are 2 seats left on the shopping trip and also we will be attending the pantomime, (4 adults 2 children) we will see Elaine and Trisha (our Akbuk WIT representitives this weekand hopefully purchase some tickets from them at our Turkish class). Also would it be ok if we pop into your office to pick up daughters bottle of wine she won at open day's raffle?

Keep up the good work as I know we will all benefit from the proceeds and the main aim of getting a mobile clinic which will be very much appreciated and used by us all.

Hi Anne, I dont know how I missed you on open day! The shopping trip has had a big response so we have now booked an extra coach so ill reserve 2 tickets for you and 4 adults for the panto and if the kids are under 12 they are free :-)
