Brazilian Keratin treatment (BKT hair straightening)

Has anybody else had this done?

I had it done a couple of weeks ago as I have kinks and 's' bends in my hair. Its a bit of a performance having it done because once on, you have to leave it for four days, you cant wash it, put it up - nothing, also have to have special shampoo and conditioner. At first I wasn't too sure but it just keeps getting better and better with each wash. Its now a wash and go thing - no kinks. I don't have to straighten it every day anymore and if I do decide to run the straighteners through, it takes seconds.

It has loads of good write ups about it on the net, I'm very pleased I had it done now, was worth all the trouble as it lasts 3 months.

No never heard of it where did you get it done and how much...........I use my GHDs nearly every day!!!

Well, I was just reading an english mag today and curly hair & perms are back in fashion!!!

hmmm I was the height of fashion on the 80s with my big hair...........but I ve just been looking up this Brazillian technique (for head hair) and its very dangerours and has carcinogenic properties in it. Looks like I will be sticking with my GHDs till I go baldy!

Lol Lillylilly, thats the wrong one!! Ang did it for me from the forum, give her a pm and she can explain it all to you, there are 2 types - yikes, wouldnt have had it if it was the permanant one that grows out. This is getting better by the day - not falling out!
