Turkish Lawyers Altinkum - Do you know?

Evening all,

We have been recommended to use a Turkish lawyer by the name of Nesrin Basaran SANDALCI
Have any of you used this lady?

It is essential that our lawyer both speaks good english and can produce certified translations for our records.

as always your help is much appreciated.

regards

Steve

Re: Turkish Lawyers Altinkum - Do you know?

Who recommended that you use her? This is important.

And less important where do you live in Scotland?

Re: Turkish Lawyers Altinkum - Do you know?

Hi Steve,

If you have a good agent, they will perform all the checks necessary on the property the same as a solicitor would. A solicitor recommended by an Estate Agent is not necessarily attached to the Agent themselves.

You have a couple of scenarios here: Using an agent in the first place, you are paying them commission to look after the sale from start to finish, i.e. the conveyencing. In this case the solicitor will only be drawing up a contract of sale and that will cost you an additional 350 gbp (approx) on top of the agents commission. To ensure that the contract is legal and binding it needs to then be notarised which will cost another 100 or so gbp.

If you are intending on the solicitor 'conveyencing' for you, you will then need to employ him/her to look after the whole process from start to finish and it will cost you a hell of a lot more and that on top of the Agents commission.

Re: Turkish Lawyers Altinkum - Do you know?

Hi. I've used Nesrin Sandalci before. She's an authorised translator too. I can't speak for others, but for me she was professional and nice, and I didn't have any problems. She's also the wife of the Mayor of Akbuk. If you've got any specific questions, feel free to PM me.

Cheers.

Paul

Re: Turkish Lawyers Altinkum - Do you know?

I would strongly reccomend that you do not use a lawyer from Altinkum.
Their track record proves my point.
One particular local group of solicitors allowed a high number of buyers to part with all their monies for their purchase here in Turkey. Only to find out 2 years later that the builder who sold them the properties did not/does not own the land they are built on.
I could reccomend Goklic Law solicitors or KarmLegal, but I won't

I have not heard of any success stories of late with local solicitors and property/Tapu problems beung sorted out. No doubt somone will say different.
Our group of 56 buyers are using a Turkish UK based solicitor:
Londonlegalint.co.uk 0044 02077499191 for details.
and are making good headway with our efforts to get Tapu for our individual purchases on Golden Beach Complex.
There are also over 100 different buyers employing this solicitors to act for them in the buying process in Turkey.
