any suggestions for lively bars to visit?

hi all..we are going back out there on Friday and the son and his girlfriend joining us on Sat. Can anyone recommend some good evening bars to us...we don't really bother much going out, but as we have them coming we thought we should try and find the names of some placed we can take them that are lively - we'd be looking for pub quizzes etc...we went to big nose bar last summer and that was a good atmosphere..anyone got any other suggestions tho? we are up by Carrefour...thanks!

make sure you know what price you are paying for drinks if you venture into Dolphin square and keep your eye on the number of drinks etc

I'd make the effort and catch the Dolmus to Linekers at second beach. They do pub quiz, name that tune, open the box, and Karaoke. Its a good night and they'll give you a lift home if you ask too

Re: any suggestions for lively bars to visit?

Being in Altinkum 2 or 3 times a year and trying to entertain the family with something different every night is becoming difficult.

All the bar staff are great and doing their best to entertain with dance shows, karaoke and quiz nights etc, but for a 2 week holiday they really need to start trying to do something different. You walk down the strip and every single bar is doing the same thing.

I know the excuse is that they keep doing the same shows for tourists that have never been before, but I think by now the majority of tourists are return visitors.

If anyone knows of venues where they play live music like a cover band, comedian, magic act or anything else that is different to the norm even if it is not in the main tourist areas, please let us know?

Thanks

If you are looking to be entertained in different ways every night for two weeks I'd suggest Las vegas.

Peter the Postie....what is the use of that reply? I don't think my request for information on different things to do is unreasonable.

Although I agree Linekers is good, I think there is more to life than spending every night there unlike yourself.

I can see Altinkum becoming a mini Las Vegas....great idea!

Cheers

Hi I play in a live 3 piece band who play every Wed in Akbuk at the Derby restaurant, and every Fri/Sun at Mavi Deniz in Akbuk 9pm - midnight. If this is too far to travel try Ati's 2 live Turkish music,or Mekhan, again live Turkish music. There is live entertainment advertised for Funky Forest ,Tues /Fri,and Bizim Ora on Tues hope this helps.
