The cheapest and, and indeed the only way if you don't want to drive yourself, is by coach from your local Otogar to Fethiye Otogar. I'm not aware of the distance, is it near to Marmaris? if so the small coaches take about 2- 1/2 hours. If near Bodrum then you would probably be better (from a comfort point of view), with someone like Pamukkale, they are the big coach company. Check at your local Otogar what is available. Prices are very resonable and usually there is a refreshment break and soft drinks served on the bus on a long journey.

sorry let me clarify . I am asking for a friend who will be in Akbuk & needs to come here to Fethiye. I guess he will need to get to Altinkum then Aydin or somewhere before he can get through to Fethiye ?

OK dolmus Akbuk dolmus park to Milas,at the Milas dolmus park, dolmus from there to Mugla otogar, from Mugla otogar dolmus from there to Fethiye.Quite straight forward no need to leave any of the terminus when changing dolmus,by the way Mugla otogar is quite big and the journey has some spectacular scenery.

We went to Koycegiz a few weeks back from Akbuk. So easy and the drivers were very helpful. As has been said, dolmus from Akbuk to Milas, Milas to Mugla then onwards from Mugla. Piece of cake - and wonderful scenery too!

Re: getting from Akbuk to Fethiye

My husband and I do this journey every year as we have friends in Olu Deniz. From the otogar in Didim you get a dolmus (one of the bigger ones) and its always better to get it in the bus station as it picks up in various places and gets full very quickly. The dolmus goes to Aydin Otogar where you then get a luxury coach (Pamukkale Co) to Fethiye. It's a great service where tea/coffee, cake, ice cream are all included in the price and there is a constant supply of water. Very comfortable and a great way to see the beautiful scenery. The dolmus cost 10.50 lire and the coach I think was 38 lire. We always book Pamukkale bus in advance as it can be very busy but we always go September so it may be quieter in March.
