why altinkum
ive noticed lots of the new members are from altinkum...ive never been up there...so whats great about it.....whats there to do..etc etc.

altinkum its a great place got everthing you need to have a great holiday first class resturants lively bars three great beach,s people very friendly and helpful,theres a lot of investment going on at the moment with a new marina and golf course in the pipe line. theres a lot of brits living there at the mo and every one of them are very close all looking out for one another its a great place to be you should try it sometime

sounds nice...but my heart is in Alanya...
maybe i will have a look up there this season though..just to compare
i always thought it was a little place...sounds like its growing..how does it compare to marmaris...and kuşkuşada..sı

Its nowhere near as big as marmaris or kusadasi, I have been to both and hated Marmaris and was not too fond of Kusadasi but I guess they along with altinkum have quiter areas as well.

I fell in love with the place the first time we stayed there. It is also a lot cheaper than other larger resorts as you don't pay the tourist tax like in Alanya. It was recommended to my by someone who had been going there for the last 17 years. Well worth a try if you can make it

Altinkum means "Golden Beach", and I think that is one reason why it's very popular with the British buyers. Price is another... still lots of fairly cheap apartments to be had, in fact someone recently mentioned to me that because of all the new developments there are a fair few resale bargains to be had.
