Buying land in Didim -help!
Hello everyone
I am visiting Didim next week to look at some land in Didim Village. Anyone got any advice for the sorts of things I should be asking and looking for. I will hopefully find a solicitor from your advice in the legal section on this forum - in case I decide to buy.
As ever, grateful for the time and trouble the forum members go to so that we can be well informed. Thank you
Musicman

Re: Buying land in Didim -help!
Make sure that any land you are interested in is covered by the areas development plan. Foreigners are not allowed to buy outside of these areas
You will also need to know the build permission for the land.
Good Luck oin your hunt.

Re: Buying land in Didim -help!
Hi,
Make sure the land you are planning to buy is owned buy the person you are buying it from!
Make sure you can get all the services and a costing of supplying these services to the plot i.e. electric, water, telephone etc
Make sure there are no other developements planned for that plot of land.
Oooops! I've just realised I am not qualified to give this advice.
(sorry musicman, this last remark is aimed at another forum reader)
Best of luck with your venture.
I hope everything goes plan.
Alan

Re: Buying land in Didim -help!
Thanks to everyone so far. Is there a way of knowing which land is inside the development area? I assume the owner would have some document or maybe I would have to check it out with the local land office - if there is such a thing?

I would have said your advice sounds rather more like common sense rather than expert advice, and yes, you made out to be an expert in the field of buying turkish property, did you not ? At least you had the decency to amend you signature.

Re: Buying land in Didim -help!
I guess most of the land in Didim will be fine thats provided you will be able to find some, most of what's left has already been purchased by the developers
Most agents and customers use the solicitor Nadir Turk, he is the most highly respected in Didim, do a search on his name here which will verify this.
Go to the belidiye and make sure the land that is being sold is actually in the exact location that you are being shown, on may occassions we have found land that we have looked at is not exectly where the seller sometimes tells you.
Make sure you get the area of land they are trying to sell yoou pegged out before you purchase and then can see exactly where the exact location is

Re: Buying land in Didim -help!
Musicman,When you find land that you are interested in,please ask to go with the tapo
to the belediyesi office, where they can check out, 1 that it is not in a green belt area,2 it only belongs to that person,3 İt as building permisson or not,4 or if it belongs to the military,Please do these checks before you hand any money over ok.hope that helps.

Re: Buying land in Didim -help!
Thanks Dianne I will take all the advice given - I was rather pleased to get away from all the bickering of recent forums. I'm sure everyones intentions are well meaning whatever their position.
Thanks you
