do you know if this is true, how long do you have to wait for tapu's, I've been told by estate agents in the area that it's should be a matter of months rather than years
Exactly what we were told only to wait more than two years for ours,we were told that there were different circumstances for us and we would get it even quicker, maybe a month or so.They tell you what you want to hear.
As said earlier there are many properties with tapu and habitation certificate in place rather than"you will get it when we can be bothered to pay the tax"
I can't really see the attraction at this building site,it's isolated, nowhere near the sea and an upgraded dirt track, which has fallen into disrepair, for access.

By all means Jim, go to Altinkum & buy your property there.. Do you know how many burglaries they get there. the little complexes often have no 24hr security & if you buy off a complex you really are asking too be robbed! As 'parrot' says you WILL get your tapu but you should consider the downside of Altinkum also.. Do you want peace of mind when ur not there ? 'Parrot', some people like peace, quiet, countryside etc.. Jim you should also consider: you always get one VICTOR MELDREW on a complex, the sooner he sells up the better, he is known for his whining!! by the way, 20 min walk to Mavisehir. I am done

Hi Kevin who are you talking about " Victor Meldrew " I never mentioned any names?
And my information came from several sources not just the one.

Re: apollon holiday village

Wow Kevin
You really have me worried now, do you mean they have burgaries all over Altinkum , but none on your complex?, how exactly does that work?
As for getting a tapu, I got mine before I finished paying for my place (hab cert too)
now THAT is quick and as for only being 20 minutes away from Mavesehir , we actually went there last year and honestly wern't impressed , yes the sunset is good and the market average (what bits of it were open), but that was it! there was nothing else there (there is a lot of difference inbetween "quiet" and "dead")

Re: apollon holiday village

Our friends have a place on AHV on the phase with the huge round pool! It has a fantastic holiday feel about it in the summer and a real buzz! Yes it's a bit away from town and the big supermarkets but there is a regular bus, but you can also quite happily stay on complex without going anywhere as there are a couple of restaurants and a small market!
At the end of the day it's all about personal taste and choice, my complex (near the temple) is small but cozy the residents maintain it well and we have paid to keep our
pool!
we are close enough to town, but not to close! but that's what we like.
Each to there own.

Re: apollon holiday village

Thank you everyone for your reply's, and I agree it's all down to taste, but do you know what, I think I will do what Kale says and keep my money in the bank and rent. I will certainly give the apollon holiday village a miss, I still like
It, but by some of the comments on here, made by some of it's residents on this thread,it seems to me that no one is entitled to an opinion unless it matches theirs, so thanks but no thanks

Re: apollon holiday village

Jim21

I would think again before basing your view of AHV on comments made here.

Firstly I bet most of the comments are by people who have never visited it.

Secondly it has never had a single burglary and has 24 hour security and CCTV.

The builders are top end award winning British in partnership with very well respected Turks. Who all live on site.

The location is not in central Altinkum/Didim but the complex has its own frequent bus service (free) which takes about 15 minutes into town.

It has four swimming pools, one 1000 sq metre one heated. Two bar/restaraunts, mini market, hairdressers, turkish baths, gymnasium, games area, kiddies play area a crown bowling green (open this year) crazy golf course.

There are on site taxi service and car hire at reasonable prices.

There is a permanent office where you can arrange things with an English speaking receptionist. If you have visitors they will keep your keys and service your apartment if needed.

There is free wifi in one bar and all football and major sporting events are shown live.

There are views of the sea from the penthouses and open farm land from other properties.

The complex has been built in four stages and only the last stage owners do not have their Tapus yet but that is because finishing off work is still under way.

I would not dismiss this out of hand if you are in Tinky go take a look and ask to see Warren who will show you around.
