Re: getting a appointment at Didim Hospital

Ir depends what sort of specialist you need to see
We went back for our 2nd prescriptions ....I have to go to "Cardiologi" because I am on blood thinners after open heart surgery in 2010
We go to the left hand entrance next to main entrance and take our residency permits , turn left and there are desks in front of you in a "U" shape, go to the one on the right and ask for "Ticket- Cardiologi"....we then get a ticket each and wait outside the office of the specialist where you see your name come up over the door
Now I don't know if this is the same for all specialists but to be on the safe side, go to Bekir at first care and ask him, he will if neccessary book an appointment for you , his place is here

Re: getting a appointment at Didim Hospital

You have to get residency, if you are under 65, you will need private medical insurance and you have to be resident for 12 months before you can get SGK

They should take private medical insurance,or holiday insurance, but again, check with Bekir

You may be able to just go and pay cash but it'd be expensive ...if you have private insurance it's a bit like BUPA and you can choose which hospital you go to .We have found for some specialist doctors it is better to go to either Soke, Aydin or Acibadem in Bodrum
