Kurdish discussion threads

I have had to close some threads because we have had some members who have been offended by the content of the threads, and before we get into any fights on the forum I have decided to close the dicussions.

Turkish and Kurdish political problem is not something that I want to have discussed on this forum, I'm sure there are other platforms form that available.

I would welcome information on Kurdish people and their history and heritage as it's all part people of Turkey and the region, as long as politics is kept out of this.

This does not mean I don't want any posts about Kurdish people, I have Turkish and Kurdish friends, to me they are the same people.

I have met some very nice people from both sides and some not so nice ones too, I do not know enough about the history and problems to make any comment about it or to take any sides, nor do I wish to.

I hate politics and politicians, they all lie and cheat on 'our' behalf.

Mushtaq, whilst I agree that politics have no place in a friendly forum such as that, The post from ShirleyAnne had no political undertones whatsover, just a warm, informative article about kudish lifestyle, traditions and customs. Hence I can't see why you should lock this article, as there is nothing in there either offensive or controversial.
That fact a few people seem to have a problem with it should not be reason to stop others from sharing their views about this article.
By all means lock any controversial material but please not articles as tame and harmless as this one.

Re: Kurdish discussion threads

It is good to close these threads...Espacially some of the definitions in the texts were really annoying... Please read some about the history of Turkey; then you will understand why they were annoying... Thanks...
